We recently received a letter from Councillor Eddy Newman informing us that he chose Lifted to receive a donation from We Love MCR Charity:

Each year, the retiring Lord Mayor is able to nominate community groups and organisations that they have visited during their year of office to receive a donation from the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s Charity Appeal Trust – We Love MCR Charity.

I have chosen your organisation as I am very proud of the work you do in the community for the people of Manchester. Please find enclosed a donation of £250. Please can I request that these funds are used to continue the work you do in supporting communities in the city of Manchester.
