For Spring 2019, Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Manchester will again be running a number of short, “bite-sized” courses about topics relevant to parent-carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The courses will be delivered by a member of the IAS team, who will also be available to answer questions related to the topic covered on the day.

Lifted is one of the three locations where they will be delivering these SEND courses, which will be held at 10-11:30am monthly.

This day will be a “generic session” – discussing what SEND means and what support/advice is available.

Please see below the poster containing the schedule of all courses to be run during the spring term, at all three locations:

IAS Manchester Bite-sized SEND Courses - Spring 2019

IAS also has a library of courses (see the list in the poster above) regarding SEND, which can be booked for groups of parents/schools/nurseries/health professionals and other professional groups, which the IAS team will deliver in your setting. Courses can also be tailor made if something different is required. These bite sized courses usually last 90 minutes. Phone the manager to discuss your requirements and/or book a session on 0161245 7300 or alternatively email parents@manchester.gov.uk.
