Carers Week Event – The Day So Far…

We’re having a good day at the Carers Week Information Event. The organisations who have opened up stalls so far are Citizens Advice Bureau, Contact a Family, Community Learning Disability Team (carers assessments), IAS Manchester, and Dyslexia Foundation. Heather, who does book folding and sells her works for a small amount, has also set up a stall. The free pampering corner is also open, thanks to Michelle Louise, who kindly agreed to come today.

The Lord Mayor of Manchester has visited us, moving around the room and nicely chatting to stallholders and carer-visitors alike. He tried his luck on our tombola, luckily winning a box of Cadbury chocolates. He then gave a short speech about Carers Week and the importance of carers to society, just before lunch.
