“Music, Movement, Mindfulness and Fun” for Carers

An event every 2 weeks that begins at 10:30am on Friday, repeating until November 22, 2019
We are hosting a series of workshops covering the benefits of music practice for carers of people with special learning needs and disabilities.
The programme will be delivered by Jo from Ageless Grace UK and is made possible by Manchester Carers Network.
About This Training Programme
It will provide 21 simple tools for lifelong comfort & ease. Practise these for as little as 10 minutes a day to improve cognitive health, mental health & physical wellbeing in a simple to learn practice that can be undertaken with all the family, including the cared for person.
Outcomes
Mental & Cognitive Health – reduced stress, positivity, uplifted mood, improved left/right brain function, enhances creativity and imagination, increases ability to “react, respond & recover” and stimulates neuroplasticity
Physical Health Benefits – improves flexibility, mobility, balance, and strength increases dexterity in hands, fingers & toes, improves circulation, digestion and nervous system
Relationships – enhances relationships with their loved one, and/or creates space for self-care, improves relationships through fun activities with other members of the family, including children
