For this year’s Carers Week, we’re holding an information event at Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre, which would be open for all carers to visit and enjoy. There will be free refreshments, light breakfast and lunch during the day, as well as a raffle and tombola with fantastic prizes to be won.

We will be inviting various carers groups and organisations supporting the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) community so it would also be a perfect opportunity for carers to learn more about help and support that’s available out there. If you are an organisation that provides support to carers and would like to set up a stall, please contact us about your interest in joining.

* Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. This year’s theme is “Building Carer Friendly Communities”, which focuses on developing communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
