For our summer fair this year, held in memory of our friend and supporter Deborah Platt, we have again booked Wythenshawe Wheelers for another fun day of inclusive, all-ability cycling at the park. Dubbed “Festival in the Park”, our disability-friendly fun day will also feature a bouncy castle and soft play area for all, In addition to the wide range of specialist and regular bicycles courtesy of Simply Cycling. We have also hired a DJ to play lively music throughout the afternoon. All these fun activities are free to access multiple times upon entrance (only £3 per family of 4 at the door).

There will be a toy stall and a cake stall, and we will be selling snacks, refreshments and (possibly) barbecue at the venue.

It’s not all for the kids, though, as we will be setting up a pampering area, with treatment services to be provided by Michelle Louise, who regularly does pamper sessions at the centre. We have also invited a few organisations to come over and set up stalls, where you can get information and ask about services and support they provide to children and young people with disabilities. We currently have Together Trust and IAS Manchester confirmed to come.

This event doubles as a fundraiser for the centre so please support us by coming over and sharing with your friends and family who care for people with disabilities.
