We recently received great news that we won an appeal with a parent who felt that her child deserved high rate care and mobility Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
They have now been awarded the ‘Highest’ weekly rate for the Care component of DLA and ‘Higher’ rate for Mobility. The family will be receiving the amounts backdated for nearly two years and the new rates will apply moving forward.
Many parents and carers approach us with a clear need and a good case for appealing their DLA rates but may be worried about losing their benefit or just don’t know how to proceed. This proves that appeals are winnable and we can help you towards that.
