End of 2021 blog

Well what can I say about 2021? Expect that it has produced new and exciting challenges that we all have faced head on. Everyone at Lifted would like to thank you all for the support and motivation you have given us this last year.

Here is a look over everything we at Lifted have achieved this past year;

New Home

As I’m sure you have all heard and seen my multiple posts about this, but did you know we moved?
We would like to thank everyone who helped in moving us to our new home. I don’t think we realised how much we had to move, so again thank you for your help, especially those who helped us move out of the Alpha house and into storage, we couldn’t have done it without you. It was a good few days packing up and moving and a lot of giggles and chats throughout those days

We moved to the dandelion building this year and we couldn’t be more happy with this move. Rev Kate and the team have made us feel like we are a part of the community and it has helped make what we do even more energised. We are able to offer new group meetings as well as hold our annual events. We also take part in all the events that the dandelion center is offering and these will be advertised through the Lifted website and facebook page. Keep an eye out for these events.

Covid – 19

This year everyone has had to adapt to Covid-19 and all the guidelines that were set out for us all. Lifted at first found this a challenge but it was something we all faced together and made changes to how we worked so that we could still be there for you all. We changed from face to face meetings to phonecalls and Zoom meetings. What did you think about these changes? Is it something you would like or can’t you wait for face to face meetings again?

When we were able to arrange face to face meetings we made sure that everyone was in a safe environment and visors, masks and hand sanitiser were provided to all.

Walking groups

This year the weekly walking group was introduced to everyone. To find more about the walking group and how this group has impacted everyone within lifted, please read my blog on my own personal walking  experience  http://liftedcarerscentre.org.uk/my-first-blog-for-lifted-wednesday-walks/

Festive holidays

We were able to hold this year’s Christmas festive bonanza. It was a really great day and it was enjoyed by all who attended and it was a wonderful time being able to catch up with everyone who we have missed seeing during this year. Look at the amazing photos from the event. What was your favorite part of the day? Mine was father christmas
